MEADOWBROOK
POINTE WELCOMES
PRIME TIME COMEDIAN CAROL LEIFER
Night
of Comedy to Benefit the American Cancer Society
WESTBURY,
N.Y. (September 20, 2007) – Meadowbrook Pointe Athletic Club
& Spa, the luxury community for active adults age 55 and over,
proudly presents a Night of Comedy starring Carol Leifer on Saturday,
September 29.
The Emmy-nominated writer for Seinfeld, The Larry Sanders Show and
Saturday Night Live and frequent guest on The Tonight Show with
Jay Leno and Late Night with David Letterman, will take the stage
in the ballroom at Meadowbrook Pointe’s grand 25,000 square
foot clubhouse following an opening performance from clever Comedian
Cathy Ladman at 7:30 p.m. Carol Leifer recently donated $10,200
to the American Humane Society to fight animal cruelty by purchasing
the notes from Michael Vick’s August 27th press conference
apology. Cathy Ladman, known as one of the country’s top comedians
awarded the American Comedy Award for Best Female Stand Up Comic,
was most recently one of three finalists in Nick at Nite’s
“Funniest Mom in America” contest.
“We are thrilled to bring the comic genius of both Carol Leifer
and Cathy Ladman to Meadowbrook Pointe,” said Michael Dubb,
president of The Beechwood Organization. “With both talented
ladies having starred in their own comedy cable specials and heralded
for their laugh-a-minute monologues and comedic script writing,
we’re sure this will be an unforgettable and fun-filled evening.”
Tickets are $25.00 per person (21 and over please) and reservations
are recommended. All ticket proceeds will benefit the American Cancer
Society. For more information, please call (516) 222-0800.
