- Beechwood starts 82-unit condo in Rockaways
- Residences priced between $645,000 and $3.75 million
- Designed by Ismael Leyva Architects with oceanfront views
- Amenities include beachfront pool, fitness center, and co-working spaces
Jericho-based Beechwood Organization is expanding its presence in the Rockaways with a new $100 condominium development within its sprawling Arverne by the Sea master-planned community.
With construction on the 82-unit condo building just beginning, the developer has already pre-sold 15 percent of the residences, which are currently priced between $645,000 and $3.75 million.
Called The Lighthouse Beach Sixty-Seventh, the 12-story oceanfront tower will offer a mix of studio to three-bedroom residences ranging from 515 square feet to 1,737 square feet. Amenities will include an elevated beachfront pool and sundeck, fitness center, lounge and game room, children’s game room, co-working spaces and conference rooms, outdoor bar and barbecue areas, 24-hour attended lobby and concierge service, bicycle and surfboard storage, and on-site parking, according to a Beechwood statement.
“We set out to create homes that feel truly connected to the ocean they rise above while introducing a level of lifestyle and amenities that have not previously existed in the Rockaways,” Steven Dubb, Beechwood principal and president, said in the statement.
In addition to the 89,000-square-foot residential building, the 109,000-square-foot development will include 4,000 square feet of retail space. The 2.5-acre site is adjacent to the 120-acre Arverne by the Sea, a mixed-use, transit-oriented development with 2,300 for-sale and rental residences created by Beechwood in partnership with The Benjamin Companies.
