The Beechwood Organization proudly participated this year once again, in the US Marine Corps Toys-for-Tots Program. For weeks before the holidays, hundreds of unwrapped toys arrived at the Country Pointe at Coram Sales Center, the Arverne by the Sea Sales Center, the Beechwood Corporate offices in Jericho and the new Beechwood Regional Sales & Design Center in Islandia.
On December 21, the U.S. Marine Corps 6th Communication BN Alpha Company of Amityville sent two of their finest in dress blues to the Beechwood Regional Sales & Design Center in Islandia. Beechwood staffers were on hand to greet, Sgt. Kevin Chin and PFC Jonathan Santiago as they picked up truck loads of toys to be delivered to needy children all over the United States.
The Beechwood staff also collected donations for Toys-For-Tots at the company’s annual holiday party and Beechwood subcontractors made enormous contributions. According to Michael Dubb, Beechwood’s Co-Founder and Principal, “We take great pride in participating in the Toys-For-Tots Program and are delighted with the sheer volume of toys we managed to collect.”
Since 1947, the Marines Corps Toys- for-Tots program has been making wishes come true for needy children. The Marines rely on members of the local community to provide collection locations, promote awareness of the Toys- for-Tots Campaign and to host special events.
“We are so pleased with the outpouring of donations we received,” says Joyce Skarka, Beechwood’s Director of Sales & Marketing. “|We’d like to thank everyone at Beechwood and the concerned citizens and business leaders who contributed their time and effort to this wonderful cause.”
